Camera Results

I got the pictures back this morning from King Sooper’s and they did not turn out as well as I hoped. There are a few that are pretty good, but out of 3 rolls, a few is not that good of a percentage.

I'm going to continue to work on learning more about photography using this old camera until I have enough money saved to get a good digital SLR camera. I will post the pictures as soon as I can.

Here are some pictures that I have taken in the past. Please feel free to share these with others. A. Wilson Photography

New Toy for Angie

Brian bought a camera from his dad (below) before we met and I'm really interested in figuring out how to use it and take good pictures. He has a wide angle lens and a telephoto lens that I'm trying to figure out how to use. I haven't ever used anything but a point-and-shoot camera, so trying to decipher the manual and books has been "intersting." Figuring out f-Stop, apperature, depth of field, etc. has been challenging. If you know anything about photography, please feel free to contact me.

I found a photography class at the Aurora Parks & Rec for $50. This class will teach owners of digital, automatic or manual cameras. The class is 2 hours every Thursday night (7-9pm) for 4 weeks.

The Canon AE-1 (1981) was the first 35mm SLR camera to be controlled solely via a built-in Central Processing Unit (CPU) and made SLR photography avaialble to beginners and amateurs at a reasonable prices - with a record of over 5 million units been sold worldwide, the success of which firmly established Canon as the leader in camera innovations.

Christmas Decorations

We bought and put up the tree and decorated the house on Saturday.
We had so much fun.

Brian put up the outside lights on Sunday before the Denver game.
I get nervous when Brian is on the roof.

Las Vegas

We are leaving to go to Las Vegas for Thanksgiving after work today to spend some time with the Burnstein side of the family. It's supposed to be kind of chilly (low 60s) all weekend. I have brought running gear for colder weather and there is a 24 Hour Fitness about 2 miles from our hotel. I really hope that I stay with my exercise routine and go running this weekend. I think that running the strip will be nice.

I'm planning on heading out to the outlet malls on Black Friday and pick up some stuff for the holidays. I found out that the 2 outlet malls in Vegas are opening at midnight and staying open until 10pm. What a day for those workers.

I hope that I get everything done.

Hunting Weekend

We arrived in Almont, CO on Friday night (late). I told myself that I was going to recommit to running since I haven't done much since completing the Denver Marathon.

Unfortunately, I only ran on Saturday morning for 45 minutes and we were there through Monday morning. I did do some hiking with my MIL on Saturday and Sunday afternoon which was nice. It was a lot more than we did while the boys were hunting last year.

I packed my workout clothes in my Trailblazer so that I could go straight to the gym after work. Let's see if that's what I do.

Wish me luck.

The next paragraph is pretty gross. I warned you!!

Last year during hunting season I wouldn't even take a good look at the animals, but I was proud of myself this year; I took pictures of Brian and his dad skinning the animals. These are the grossest pics that I have ever taken. If you need any picutres for next year's halloween, let me know and I will send them to you.

New Fitness Goal

I saw a NOVA episode today about marathon training. I'm going to continue my training to go from the half marathon to a full marathon by April. Since I have already completed the half marathon (and the schedule starts in July) I'm going to start the training today (October).

I need to adjust the schedule because they have the long run on Sunday and it was always better for me to do the long run on Saturday. If anyone is intersted in starting a marathon training program, here is another good one.

Denver Marathon results

If you have not heard about my 5 month training for the Denver half Marathon through The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, please feel free to catch up on it at http://angie-training.blogspot.com/. I chronicled my weekly training adventures.

To take a look at the Half Marathon 5+ month training schedule, please see the following:
May 07- Month 1, June 07- Month 2, July 07- Month 3, August 07- Month 4, September 07- Month 5, October 07- Month 6

To take a look at the Full Marathon 5+ month training schedule, please see the following:
May 07- Month 1, June 07- Month 2, July 07- Month 3, August 07- Month 4, September 07- Month 5, October 07- Month 6

I'm so excited that I successfully completed this event. I'm going to keep on training. There are always shorter races all during the year (5k, 10k, 10 miles, etc.) with small entry fees.

I'd love to complete a full marathon before I get too old. I'll probably train for that after we have our first baby.
