These Past Few Weeks

Obviously nothing too exciting has happened the last few weeks or we would have updated this blog. Yesterday, we went to the Snow Sculpture Championships in Breckenridge. Once we develop the film we will post some of the pics.

I ordered a digital SLR camera on Friday and it should be delivered to my work sometime this week. I'm so excited. It's 10.1 MP and it was on sale. A great sale. Too great to pass up!! Once I start taking some pictures with it, I will put them up.

New MP3 and New Class

Brian bought a Sony 4MB MP3 player with the Best Buy gift cards that he received for Christmas. He has been playing with it and trying to figure out how to upload movies, but it is giving him some difficulty. Right now, he is still within the return policy, so I suggested that if he can't seem to get it to work, he can always try another product.

The first day of my photography class through the Aurora City Parks & Recreation department was last night. I was the only one that brought in an SLR 35mm camera. The other 3 people brought in nice digital SLR cameras with 6MP or higher. I'm so jealous. What I'm hoping to get out of this class is more information about the best way to capture an image and the composition of great pictures.

We are heading up to the mountains this weekend, so I will take my camera and try to work on my composition. The light will probably be too bright, but there is no way that we are getting up there early enough for the sunrise and we are not staying for sunset. We would never get home at a decent hour.

Christmas & New Year's

Brian and I were separated for our 2nd Christmas married. Brian started a new job and didn't have any vacation days and it was our time to be with my parents.

I flew down to FL on Saturday the 22nd to spend the holidays with my parents, my sister and her FI and my grandfather and his wife. There were a few fights but nothing that didn't get patched up by the end of the trip.

Brian stayed in CO and had an extended family dinner on Saturday night. He had to go to work on Monday, and then spent Christmas day at his parent's house. Unfortunately, he had to work on Wednesday too.

My flight back to CO included a layover in GA and didn't land in CO until midnight. We didn't get home until 2am and still had to go to work on Thursday. With 3 hours of sleep we both did pretty well at work.

We will try not to be apart for a major holiday again.
