Sleep vs. Royal Wedding
Guess which I picked? Surprisingly, I picked sleep.
Sam was sleeping, so I wasn't about to get up and risk waking him up (considering he went to bed "late" last night). For our family "late" was 7:45 when he finally fell asleep for the night.
Being in Mountain Time, the wedding coverage started at 3am and there was no way that I was going to get up then. On Monday, in anticipation of the wedding, I set my DVR to record from 2:45 am - 9am (an hour after coverage was scheduled to be completed). I definitely didn't want to miss anything.
Congratulations Prince William, Duke of Cambridge and Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge!! I can't wait to watch your wedding tonight after I put Sam to bed.

Thursday's Houshold Tip- Cheap Cleaning Solutions from Arm & Hammer®
Who doesn't want to save money. You don't have to purchase the brand name "cleaning" products on the store shelves. Just buy some baking soda, brought to my attention by ARM & HAMMER® Baking Soda
How ARM & HAMMER® Baking Soda Can Save your Family Money

Possible Sinus Infection- Kinda Gross
I am periodically smelling a foul odor that appears to be coming from my nasal passages. At first, I thought that it was my mucus, but my husband can't smell it on tissues.
Of course, I Googled it and there were a bunch of possibilities.

10 Years in Colorado
I was planning on posting this on Monday, April 11th, but the virus that Sam had last week put me out of commission since Saturday afternoon.
10 Years Ago (on Monday), I arrived in Colorado for a grand experiment. I moved from Westerville, Ohio without a job and not knowing a soul to a state that I had visited with my ex-fiancé the fall before.
I did not have any idea that 10 years later I would have made such wonderful friendships with so many great people, married the love of my life and given birth our amazing son, but this is what has happened.
Here is to the next 10 year (which will probably end up being 50).
Thank you Colorado.

Repurposed Aisle Runner
We used a dark purple aisle runner for our wedding. It has been collecting dust in our basement while we tried to figure out something to do with it for the past (almost) 5 years.
We found it!
The shades in Sam's room were letting in too much light at bedtime, now that the time change has extended daylight hours longer into the evening. We cut up the aisle runner and hung it over the current window shades to block out the light. It's not pretty, but we will see tonight if it does the job.
Some of the blackout shades on the market, completely cover the window and have to be completely removed to see out, while our solution can be moved aside during daylight hours to let light in, if he wants to play in his room.
We just put it up this morning, so I'll see how it works tonight and report on it tomorrow.

Thanks Brian!!!
I forgot to mention how great my husband is. While I was out of town last weekend and he was the sole caregiver to our son, Brian was able to clean the house (including the dining room table that I was dreading), install locks on the washer and dryer and make sure that our son survived the weekend.
Definitely, "Props to You!!!"
