27 Weeks- Now into 3rd Trimester

Wednesday is the end of my 2nd Trimester. Yea!!!!
Here is my weekly bump picture.

Currently Sam is the size of a head of cauliflower.

Starting on Thursday, January 1, 2009, there is only 90 days until Sam's due date. Wow!! Time does fly.

Everything is still going well with my pregnancy.

Chair Rail and Crib Assembly

Chair Rail
Brian finished putting up the chair rail and painting around it so that it looks great. The walls look like they are painted different colors, but it they are both the same. Take a look.

Crib Assembly
When we first took everything out of the box it didn't look very complicated and it ended up not being complicated at all. With the chair rail, I think that it looks really good.

26 Weeks

Even though I just posted a message yesterday, I wanted to post a message today at Week 26. This is also the last week of my 2nd trimester.

I took a picture.

During week 26, Sam is able to touch and hold his feet and make a fist. Brian can hear Sam's heartbeat by pressing his ear against my belly. Brain tissue and neurons are all developing at a rapid pace, increasing Sam's(genius-level?) brain activity and will continue to function at accelerated levels for the first seven to eight years of childhood!

99 Days to Go

I'm so excited that Brian and I are now in double digits. We passed Sam's V-Day (viability date) at week 24 and everything still seems to be going well. Our next appointment will be with our midwife on January 7th.

Here is a visual of the length of Sam- English hothouse cucumber. He now weighs about a pound and two-thirds and measures 14 inches.
The "bump" picture below was taken this past Wednesday (Week 25). Another will be taken this Wednesday when we hit 26 weeks.

We are almost finished painting the nursery. Brian was painting the chair rail on Sunday and he should be able to cut and attach it to the walls next weekend. We may even be able to put together the crib next weekend too.

This is also Christmas week so we hope that everyone is safe and has a very, merry Christmas.

Week 24- 6 Month Mark

4 Months to Go-- The countdown begins. It's so exciting to be closer to the end than the beginning.

Here is your weekly visual representation of what the Sam's size is- an ear of corn (unfortunately the quarter does not get any bigger or become more money, Dad)

Things are going well. We ordered Sam's crib last night (along with the rails for it to convert into a full size bed). We should receive the crib in January and the rails by the end of this month.

Week 23

Here is a visual representation of what the Sam's size is this week- a papaya

Things are still going really well. Sam is moving and kicking, but nothing can be felt outside of my belly yet.

I celebrated my birthday this past Sunday and my parents let Brian and I borrow their video camera for documenting Sam's growth. Since it is digital, we can upload the videos to YouTube or another site for everyone's viewing.

We also purchased a webcam so that we can let them talk to Sam "face-to-face" since they are far away in Atlanta.
